Citadel Plastic Glue is a polystyrene cement adhesive for assembling plastic Warhammer miniature kits. Unlike cyanoacrylate super glues, polystyrene cement works by chemically softening and fusing the plastic surfaces at the join point — the two pieces become molecularly bonded as the cement evaporates, rather than simply adhered with a surface coating of dried adhesive. This produces a stronger, more permanent bond than super glue on plastic-to-plastic joints and allows minor positional adjustments in the first few seconds before the cement sets.
Citadel Plastic Glue is the correct adhesive for all Citadel plastic sprues — Space Marine kits, Age of Sigmar warriors, vehicles, terrain, and any injection-moulded polystyrene kit. The fine application nozzle allows precise delivery of adhesive to the join surface without excess pooling that could mar surrounding detail. The chemical bond strength means that well-prepared joins with good surface contact are extremely difficult to break without damaging the plastic — practical for models that will be transported and handled regularly during gaming. The glue is not suitable for resin or metal miniatures, which require cyanoacrylate adhesive rather than polystyrene cement.
